It has been said that many strenuous activities can lead to asthma attack. Asthma patients often limit or inhibit themselves to engage in sports as they consider it a trigger to asthma. Asthma is regarded as a lung related disease and the lungs are believed to be the organ which helps human beings to breath.

Asthma has always been seen as a breathing issue. Asthma attacks cause the asthmatic to breathe short, uncontrollable breaths. Even if they attempt to breathe deep, no air comes in. Sometimes it leaves them weakened due to the lack of oxygen they take in. To help remedy this, techniques have been developed to help asthmatics improve their breathing skills. Some turn to Buteyko breathing method; one that has proven its name in the world of asthma treatments. Others simply attempt to build up their immunity through exercise.

Exercise as believed by others can induce asthma attack. But there are experts that even recommend exercise as part of asthma treatment. Keeping one’s self to be physically fit and healthy is the exact reason why some experts in the field of asthma treatment recommend exercise to be part of asthma’s natural treatment. A required 15-30 minutes of daily exercise such as walking may improve and strengthen the lungs which would develop in proper breathing that can be an essential way of preventing asthma attacks.

Asthma patients are not allowed to immediately start from exercises that require much effort because they might lead to attack instead of being a remedy. It should be done gradually so that the body mechanism will not be straightly exhausted. Some of the most recommended exercise for asthma patients includes walking, jogging, and even push-ups.

An asthma patient doesn’t have to stay at home all day and watch television. This kind of attitude can bring more health problems in the long run. Asthmatics need to go outside, play some sports, and have fun. Start with some exercises to develop lung strength and you’ll be fine.

I’ve had asthma my whole life but it has gotten a lot better as I have been more active. I played hoops in high school and now love doing triathlons so i am continually training. My asthma doesn\’t really bother me any more, only when I’m around cats and dogs!
