Are you one of those people that wants to understand your memory, how it works and how to improve it? Memory is a complex function of the brain but in general terms this is how your memory works. Information comes into your brain via your senses and this is the stage where your brain acquires and registers the information. That information is then consolidated and sorted (like into categories) by your brain. Finally (the most difficult part of memory) is the recall of the information at a later date when you need it.
