My how time flies, that high school reunion or wedding is just around the corner. You found the perfect outfit, but there is still one minor detail: your weight. With such little time is there any way you can really lose 10 lbs a week?
It’s ok, you don’t need to worry, there are a few things you can do. Following is a list of things that can be done to help you shed those 10 lbs in a matter of days.
1. The first thing you can do to lose 10 lbs in a week is cut your carbohydrate intake to the very minimum. Replace your bread, rice, pasta and other high carb items with fruits or raw vegetables. Try an apple or a couple carrot sticks, they both have a ton of fiber which will help you feel full fast.
2. Eat foods that are high in protein like lean meats or beans. Don’t consume processed foods because they have high levels of sodium that make your body retain water.
3. Drink lots of liquid. Drinking lots of liquid can actually be beneficial in two ways. One, it can help facilitate digestion and detoxification and two, it can help you feel full in between meals. If you can, try to limit your options to water, as this liquid is free of any hidden calories and harmful chemicals.
4. Take your exercising up a notch. If you used to exercise thrice a week, then you may want to do it every day of the week. Tiring yes, but this is one of the sacrifices that you must do if you are aiming to lose weight the soonest possible time.
Here is an exercise tip: studies have shown that shorter training sessions actually work your body better. If you really want to lose 10 lbs a week break up your 40 minute routine into four 10 minute sessions or two 20 minute sessions.
This may seem like a piece of cake, but the test is really doing it; be patient and your sacrifice will be worth it. Please remember that this “lose 10 lbs a week” program is only for a special occasion or to break through a weight loss plateau. This should not be done over a long period of time because it could be very harmful to your health.
